Wi-Fi 6 Upgrades Everything
What is Wi-Fi 6? (as known as AX WiFi)
Wi-Fi 6 is the next generation standard in WiFi technology. Wi-Fi 6 also known as “AX WiFi” or “802.11ax WiFi” builds and improves on the current 802.11ac WiFi standard. Wi-Fi 6 was originally built in response to the growing number of devices in the world. If you own a VR device, multiple smart home devices, or simply have a large number of devices in your household, then a Wi-Fi 6 router might just be the best WiFi router for you.
Why you need Wi-Fi 6?
Demands for more wireless devices
Increasing bandwidth requirements
Heavier interference between APs
What Wi-Fi 6 can bring you?
Larger Capacity: UL/DL MU-MIMO, OFDMA
Improved Performance: 1024-QAM, Longer OFDM Symbol
Greater Efficiency: BSS Coloring, Target Wake Time
WiFi 5 vs. WiFi 6: Speed
Each generation of WiFi increases WiFi speeds. So does WiFi 6, though this is not its primary goal. The nominal data rates are raised up to 9.6 Gbps, around 40% higher than that of WiFi 5.
WiFi 5 vs. WiFi 6: Efficiency
Performance in crowded networks is ultimately WiFi 6’s signature feature. Also known as “High-Efficiency WiFi,” WiFi 6 shines brightest in device-dense environments like corporate offices, shopping malls, and dense residential apartments. While the nominal data rate improvement against WiFi 5 is around 40%, the overall throughput improvement over an entire network is 300% This also translates to 75% lower latency. WiFi 6 also maintains steady top speeds while connected to many devices simultaneously, even where previous WiFi versions would stumble.
WiFi 5 vs. WiFi 6: Battery Life
Target Wake Time (TWT) allows devices to negotiate when and how often they wake up to send or receive data. This feature increases device sleep time and substantially improves battery life for mobile and IoT devices.
Worldwide adoption of WiFi 6 devices?
WiFi 6 is seeing broad adoption in WLAN markets . According to IDC Q3 2021 Tracker, In the consumer WLAN market, WiFi 6 products continued to grow, rising to make up 27.9% of the consumer segment’s total revenue, up from 24.5% in Q2 2021. In the enterprise WLAN market, WiFi 6 APs made up 62.2% of the revenues

Excellent coverage
I have Airtel Fiber plan of 200mbps but their routers are very pathetic in terms of coverage. I used my old Dlink DIR-841 but not getting any improvement. Then after a lot of research I ordered this and I am very happy with the coverage and speed I am getting. It is providing full speed in all corners of my home (1000sqft).UI and setup is very easy. We can track all activities and settings from tether app. Wi-Fi 6 is really effective. Itâs a smart router no need to select 2.4g or 5g network manually it uses a single network id and determine by itself for devices that what is best for coverage and automatically switching devices on 2G or 5ghz.I am completely satisfied with coverage and speed.

Archer AX95 WiFi-6 Router
Iâve originally fixed my mind on AXE95 featuring Wi-Fi 6E but didnât have any 6E devices and the ambiguity surrounding 6GHz band licensing in India, I switched to AX95. The only difference between AX95 and AXE95 is the lack 6Ghz band (Wi-Fi 6E), and other than that you will also get additional 5Ghz band for AX95. The total Wi-Fi capability is 5Ghz /w 160Mhz, 5Ghz /w 80Mhz & 2.4Ghz /w 40Mhz. The range of each Wi-Fi is superior to my old Archer C1200 router. My home is two storied and in 2500 Sq Feet and 5Ghz range is acceptable in all areas, but nothing can beat the signal strength of 2.4Ghz band.Router also features 2.5Gbps configurable WAN/LAN port, Gigabit WAN and 3 Gigabit LAN port. Thereâs a USB 2.0 Port on rear and on right side a USB 3.0 port. Tried connecting a USB 3.0 portable HDD on the same port and it worked flawlessly. Once you plug in a network share will pop-up under your windows network locations.Router current firmware version is 1.0.4 (September 2023). The user interface is simple and clean. (perhaps because Iâm accustomed with my old Archer router). If youâre in the market for WIFI 6 router, this could be a solid choice, be its range, performance, feature etc.ConsSome security related and fancy features are paid subscription model type. A normal user would be fine without it.Thereâs a single LED to show the router status and its slightly bright. (You can turn it off though using dedicated button or schedule wise). Thereâs no status LEDâs to show individual port status. (Hmm iám bit of old school type).OthersI didnât try the TP-Link tether app, did the configuration old fashioned (Web GUI).Alexa can be enabled and connected, didnât tried that too.

Cheaper router with 2.4ghz wifi 6.
Archer ax10, ax12 has only wifi 6 on 5ghz band. This router has both wifi 6 on 2.4ghz and 5ghz.This router’s RANGE is really good with wifi 6 at 2.4ghz (one stick vs full bar from 1st floor to third floor of concrete floor or ceiling).Price was good also. And Tp-links eashmesh system is a good feature. But yet to test. Will have to buy another unit.
