Hard disk is good. Has decent speed.But the outer casing is not perfectly fit, which doesn’t effect performance but feels weird.First I received a defective unit, then replaced and got a working one, I expect better consistency of quality from Amazon.Durability and reliability has to be tested in the long run.Overall a decent product.

Data storage requirements have kept increasing over the last several years. While SSDs have taken over the role of the primary drive in most computing systems, hard drives continue to be the storage media of choice in areas dealing with large amount of relatively cold data. Hard drives are also suitable for workloads that are largely sequential and not performance sensitive. The INR/GB metric for SSDs is showing a downward trend, but it is still not low enough to match HDDs in that market segment. In that case WD Elements 4TB Portable External Hard Drive, USB 3.0 is my best choice for daya to day activity and Backup needs. Thanks Amazon for timely safe delivery and right price segment than other online plateform.

guys wait for the price change unfortunately i ll purchased it when the price was 8000 and after some time in sale period it was around 6000. the speed of the hardisk is 100 mbps so it quite good and quality is so premium so go for it.. check the price in sale period to save some money

Good and bad at the same time.
I bought two of these over a span of few months.The drive may fail even under great care.One of them failed with boot sector corruption and no amount of efforts (recovery software like Stellar Phenix, etc) to revive it worked.Finally took it to data recovery center and they gave an estimate of Rs. 1,20,000 even when I wanted only about 10 gb of recovery.Finally WD replaced the defective unit with new one at no cost. 3-year warranty came in handy for this.
