Excellent Product -> READ FULL DETAILED REVIEW FOR MY ENTIRE EXPERIENCE
Like any other technical person, I decided to cover my 1200 sqft home with full wireless coverage.1) Firstly, I decided to use wireless extenders from Netgear and TP-link. The coverage was good but the bandwidth was horrible. Also when I moved toward the inner rooms, the wireless node would remain connected to the previous access point up till the point where there was no signal at all. Even if there was 1% signal, the device would remain attached to the previous access point and my bandwidth would slow down to a crawl. This is a real pain, especially on video calls and WhatsApp calls. the voice would start breaking and finally after the call got dropped due to the disconnection of wifi.2) Secondly, I laid out CAT 6 cables in all the rooms and gave all the Access points, a dedicated uplink. This did solve the bandwidth issue, but again the mobility was a pain as the only time my device could disconnect from the previous access point and connect to the one much closer was if the signal from the previous one completely disappeared. Even if there was a 1% signal, it would continue to remain connected.3) I started to research the internet for a couple of days and came across the DECO model of TP-Link. Initially, I was skeptical, as I had used TP-Link around 10 years back. The experience was horrible. But decided not to judge the product from a 10-year-old experience and it was the best decision I made.Firstly, the deco product looks beautiful. One of the main features was the mesh, which allows mobility for wireless devices to seamlessly connect to the best Wireless access point as you move around. I personally tested this feature while on a WhatsApp video call with my deco app to verify whether I have moved between access points. As I moved from one room to another, the devices jumped from the previous room’s access point to the new one without the call dropping or glitches. There were occasional glitches in the video but it was only for a second or two. Also, the DECO units have 2 ethernet ports per AP. So if you have only 1 wire and have a computer, it can be daisy chained via the Access point.A couple of things to keep in mind.1) firstly, they are NOT POE enabled. I wish they were as I have a POE switch, but it was not a deal-breaker. It means you need both an ethernet cable and a power source at every access point.2) Secondly, there is a primary Access Points (AP) and the other 2 are secondary AP’s. I noticed that my full internet speed was only available on the primary AP and not on the other 2 via speed tests. I turns out that the secondary AP’s were connected to the primary AP via a wireless link like an extender and hence the bandwidth was compromised. After some research, I found out that the deco units install by default in router mode and we need to configure this into Access point mode. Once done, the units were connected with a cabled ethernet backhaul and all AP’s were getting full internet speed.3) the setup is pretty simple using the deco app from Play Store. I have not contacted support for any issues so can’t comment on that part…Yet.4) Another drawback is that I can not be connected to the OMANDA controller, which is a Free SDN controller from TP-link. It provides Zero-touch provisioning for my TPlink router and Jetstream switches.Hope you find this helpful and click the upvote button for this review.

S7 Mesh (Wifi 5)
My main router (zyxel wifi5 provided by Airtel fibre-300mbps) was outside my room, and there were still plenty of dead zones in specific corners, especially the reading corner of my room (probably due to the thick brick walls). I had researched quite a lot, and ended up with buying a single unit of the Deco S7 at first.Connected it via a Cat6 Lan (with the main router), installed the Deco app, and the setup took less than 5mins. The main router 2.4 Ghz range was plenty, but what I lacked was the speedy 5Ghz.Although the S7 is dual mode, you can programme it to work in only one Frequency (5Ghz for me). Concrete brick walls are not even an issue now. Excellent throw. Now, one info is that if you have multiple floors, S7 has excellent horizontal spread, but less of a vertical spread (not too bad, but still less if mono-5Ghz used). Unless you connect multiple units via Ethernet from the primary. (If using on purely satelite mode, ie Non-ethernet, I will not recommend this). Wall mounting the M5 would be better (since S7 doesn’t provide a wall mount).3 Gigabit ports per unit works great (Disclaimer: Not exactly 1Gbps as the company says, slightly lesser). No hiccups. The unit’s Wifi transmission is as good as the M5. M5 has more antennas, but not much real time difference (if ethernet back haul is used). The latest 1.4.1 firmware update of the S7 Deco has cleaned out most of the bugs. No drops of internet seen till now. And even if you are outside, and not connected to the wifi, you can still control the wifi settings (included in the new update)…”beware children”.Provision of Parental Controls, Sleep time, Guest Mode, Network Optimization will be a benifit for those who need it.Also, in case you still have a main router, try not to use the primary Deco S7 as the router, and stick to the AP mode. I have heard complaints of when the S7 gets used as the router. For AP mode, it’s brilliant. Or, you can just set the main router in bridge-mode (no wifi), and let the S7 units do it’s thing.P.S.Every unit has its own proprietary power pin, so click a picture of the power adapter values, and buy an extra for emergencies (cheap enough).Overall, a good purchase.

Good Coverage but Average Performance
The TP-Link Deco M4 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi System offers decent coverage for medium-sized homes, providing a reliable Wi-Fi signal throughout. The seamless roaming feature works well, allowing devices to switch between nodes without noticeable drops in connection. Setting it up is straightforward, and the app interface is user-friendly, making it easy to manage settings and parental controls. However, while it advertises AC1200 speeds, the actual performance can be inconsistent, especially in larger homes or with multiple devices connected. Some users might experience slower speeds during peak usage times. Compatibility with Amazon Echo and Alexa is a nice bonus, but some features may require additional setup. The build quality feels average, and the design is somewhat basic. Overall, the TP-Link Deco M4 is a functional mesh Wi-Fi system that provides good coverage for the price, but users looking for high-performance streaming or gaming might want to explore higher-end options.

Nota 10, recomendo fortemente.
