Tight and restrictive
I’m writing this review after wearing a pair of these socks for 14 hours straight, while on a 900km motorcycle ride.I ordered 6 pairs of these socks in September ’23 specifically for my moto boots and they have gone through the washing cycle a few times. The quality of construction and materials is top notch and I particularly like that the socks are marked for the left and right feet making them fit more snugly.The elastic is a little too aggressive though. The socks are tight and don’t slip on easily to begin with. They then restrict blood flow on the calves.Perhaps they are ok for wearing for short periods, but leave an indentation on the calves and are distinctly uncomfortable because of how tight they are around the calves. If not for this, I would happily rate this as a 5 star product.I wear size 10 UK moto boots and my ankles and calves are rather slim and atheletic so this shouldn’t be a factor making the tightness worse. I’m going to try briefly soaking a pair in hot water to try and make the elastic give up some of its restrictiveness.
