These are far superior & comfy than stock!
After 3 years stock HD 560s ear pads worn off. Had to get replacement ones, and found these cooling gel ones; I did not know if these will be better or worse.Now that I have these on; I am really surprised how supremely these are comfortable compared to (dust-magnet & sometimes itchy) stock Sennheiser velour pads. Cooling gel works as intended; keeps pads nice and cool; something I have never experienced about headphone ear pads.And one more very evident noticeable upgrade; music sounds far better with these on compared to stock ones.Really happy to have these. I said these are “easy to install” and they are, but UN-installing the old earpads can be a bit tricky, at least on my Sennheiser HD-599s. On the first one, the earpad came off, but left an oval plastic baseplate ring in the headphones that was kind of scary and a pain in the behind to remove. Once that came off, the new earpads snapped on super easily.I don’t understand how the gel part of the earpads works. They definitely work though, and have kept cool after hours of wearing the headphones. But how does gel keep cool? It’s not a conductor that moves heat to somewhere else (where would it go? There’s no radiating fins or anything on the earpads or the headphones). I guess it’s magic, much like the gel in my pillow and in my mattress. I’ll take it.How can earpads “sound great”? I think they isolate your ears a tiny bit more than the regular earpads (which isn’t a lot as the HD599s are an “open air” design that doesn’t isolate you much at all). However, it tightens up the deep bass just a tiny bit without making it sound boomy. It’s a subtle difference, but one I like.I can definitely recommend these. I hope they last longer than the original earpads, which didn’t even make it a full year. Sadly, Sennheiser doesn’t sell replacement parts directly anymore and they’ve farmed out their warranty work to a third party. I didn’t want to send my headphones in (despite being under warranty) and not have them for a month so I was willing to buy new earpads. That’s too bad about Sennheiser as I was able to buy replacement earpads every several years for my 40+ year-old Sennhesier HD424 headphones (which still sound great but can’t be driven to any usable volume by portable devices like my wonderful HiBy R5 Gen2 portable player that sounds incredible playing high-resolution FLAC and DSD64 files through the HD599 headphones).[EDIT]I recently bought a pair of Sennheiser HD 490 Pro headphones and they sound MUCH nicer than my HD 599s and they ARE pretty comfortable. However, I find myself actually wanting to swap the ear pads out for a set of these SOULWIT Cooling Gel Ear Pads as they are SO comfortable and cooling! Unfortunately, I can’t find a pair from SOULWIT that definitively says it works with the HD 490 Pros. Too bad! These things are great! Also, after using them for a year, they are showing NO signs of wear![/EDIT]

So I got these ear cups for my game zeros, and they are much more comfier than the stock ear cups that come with the headsets. I like that they keep my ears cool, especially the last couple of high temps here lately. Noise canceling is there but for me if you turn your head a certain way than you can start to hear things from around your room and outside if you have your window open. If you are looking for a comfy and also something to hells keeps your ears from sweating. Than I would recommend these ear cups.
