Compact Powerhouse with Room for Improvement
The SKULLSAINTS Rudra Mini PC is impressively small and lightweight, making it extremely easy to carry and use. I purchased two units as replacements for my Raspberry Pi 4 devices running in a Kubernetes cluster 24/7. The performance upgrade is evident, with significantly improved speed and responsiveness.However, the WiFi performance is disappointing. The connection is unstable, often dropping after a few hours of use. This is a stark contrast to the reliable WiFi performance I experienced with the Raspberry Pi 4. I had to switch to a LAN connection, which compromises portability and requires additional setup. It would also be helpful if there was an option to disable WiFi in the BIOS to reduce power consumption.For future iterations, I’d suggest offering a variant with a full metal body for better heat dissipation and including a Type-C power input, which is more standard nowadays.I’ll monitor its long-term stability, and if it proves reliable, I plan to replace more Pi units in my cluster. Overall, a promising device with potential for further refinement.

The Rudra Mini PC falls short in nearly every way.
The Rudra Mini PC falls short in nearly every way. Performance struggles under multitasking, and the device overheats quickly, making the fan loud and distracting. Limited upgrade options and weak 4K support hinder productivity, while connectivity issues with multiple devices add to the frustration. At its price, it feels like poor value for the mediocre experience it provides.
