I have been using this product for the past 30 months+, and am completely satisfied with the performance. I have had horrific data losses from HDD failures in the past, and after a detailed research opted for this. Worth the money, considering the ruggedness of the product and the USB 3.0 compatibility. Data transfer is a breeze! My unreserved recommendation for a truly superb product! By the way, this HDD was accidentally pulled out from the computer several times but nothing adverse happened. Only competitor to this is perhaps the Buffalo mini station (I do have one for 5 years now) but then that is far far far more expensive.

Okay now,straight to pros and consPros:1.Aluminium body2.Pretty good sequential read and write speeds (Write:108MB/s; Read:116MB/s)3.Extra 4.25″ USB 3.0 cable docked at the side, for portability4.Military grade protection (haven’t tested it yet and hope I don’t in the near future)5.Good heat dissipation capacity and literally zero vibration (Copied about 400 Gigabytes of memory at a stretch)6.USB A-A cable (for better power transmission)Cons:1.Pre-formatted FAT32 file system (not really a con though,will take about 1 min to convert it to the desired file system)2.Tad bulky (hard to find a case for this beast)Have been using it for 4 days,everything’s fine and great till now.Based on my experience, this baby is fabulous!!!

I am so sad with this purchase I don’t to write any further, just writing to save and prevent another customer from committing this blunder mistake of buying silicon Power harddisk ,All negative reviews about this piece of junk are correct. This piece of crap gurantees one the risk of all his/her valuable data , sleepless nights and bad health due to tension in return of hard earned money from 4000-5000 rupees. Beware don’t go for this.

I love this hard drive. I own two 1TB Silcon hard drives. I ran out of room so I bought this 2TB. It is easy to use, just plug and play. It is extremely durable and works great.

Lo compre pues necesitaba mas espacio de almacenamiento y seguridad en el respaldo de la información y resultoperfecto aunque he ocupado mas de un 1TB la búsqueda de información es rápida y fluida, me gusta sus dos cables que traeel largo es útil para pc de escritorio y el corto muy útil y estético para uso en una lap top, se siente fuerte y resistente la tapa de laentrada usb se siente que sella muy bien, lo recomiendo ampliamente para los que buscan espacio en memoria, fluides en los archivos y sobre todo presentación pues el diseño es elegante, un accesorio que lo complementa de maravilla es el Drive Logic DL-64 Portable EVA Hard Drive…queda a la perfección y útil para guardar el cable largo.

Ich habe die Festplatte von Amazon Warehouse Deals zu einem sehr guten Preis erstanden. Geliefert wurde, wie gewohnt, am nächsten Tag, gut verpackt und pünktlich. Eine Beschreibung lag mit bei und die Originalverpackung war auch vorhanden. Keine Kratzer und alles ordentlich verpackt.Die Festplatte macht einen sehr guten Eindruck, sieht robust aus und ist sehr schön verarbeitet. Es sind zwei blaue USB Kabel mitgeliefert worden. Das kürzere der beiden ist wie auf den Produktbildern am Gehäuse untergebracht, leider fällt dieses aber immer raus. Für mich findet es keine Verwendung da es doch recht kurz ist. Das längere der beiden lag mit in der Verpackung. Es ist ausreichend lang und sehr robust.Ich habe keine Benchmark und Geschwindigkeitsteste durchgeführt, weil es für mich einfach nicht wichtig ist. Für mich steht die Sicherung der Daten im Vordergrund und nicht die Geschwindigkeit. Die Festplatte wird direkt von Windows erkannt und verrichtet ihren Dienst.Sie wird im November drei Wochen mit nach Thailand genommen und sollte sich an meiner durchaus positiven Meinung etwas ändern, werde ich ein Update schreiben. Bis dato kann ich eien klae Kaufempfehlung aussprechen und ich überlege mir sogar noch eine zweite Platte zu kaufen.
