Stay Away! Cheap Chinese ones are better!
I have been using this thermometer from past 6 months consistently. There were 2 main reasons for which I purchased it1) Waterproof2) Omrom is a reputed brand in medicare equipmentNow the main reason I got disappointed was due to the inaccurate readings which I got from this thermometer even after replacing battery.Omron thermometer shows a difference of 0.3-0.5 degF when compared with a conventional mercury thermometer or other digital chinese thermometers which are half the price than omron.This kind of inaccuracy is not expected from a pioneer brand like omron.On top of it, when I complained on customer care, they told me that if I am getting a variation of upto 0.9 degF then it is in acceptable range as per their standard of measurement. So what’s the point of giving 1 year warranty on this piece of equipment when they are already justifying inaccurate readings as within acceptable range.
