The C40 has an impressive build and look. This is not going to clip on your monitor but does have a tri-pod mount so you can try to get creative when using at the same time with a computer.What surprised our testers? The clarity of image from the HDR Camera. The camera tracking is about what most expect.You have controls on top and a remote. The remote is the superstar of this deal. Why? It’s not only got a mute button but also a CAM OFF button!! Gotta take a pee? Pause that vid quickly! But please realize audio is not muted unless you also hit the audio mute button… There’s also a ‘speaker off(mute) button for quick privacy or respite of loud talkers.The cam off button only works once an image is in process. So, you can’t close the shutter until it’s going. Likewise, in my testing you can’t open it if you exit a session with it closed. Until you start another camera app or session/meeting etc. Not a deal breaker but a quirky workflow I stumbled into while testing.The camera has a on screen display(OSD) for its settings:Auto-framing On/OffExposure (anti flicker 50Hz/60Hz)Image: Luminance, Saturation, Contrast and Color (10-100 increments of 10).HDR On/OffFlip OSDFlip HorizontalFlip VerticalThe remote also lets you pan and zoom, two different controls but when not in auto framing mode, the more you zoom in the more you pan. Makes sense. And the camera remembers the last position of your zoomed/panned location, so if you turn on auto framing, you can jump back to your static view. Great for a presentation board or hiding dirty clothes in your home office.The remote does not come with batteries, you’ll need 2 AAAs.The cable included is USB-C with a USB 2 adapter which is dongle attached. This is fantastic. If you want to use a longer cable or a shorter one, you can use the Velcro tie to keep it neat or replace it with another. I didn’t have to use the included power adapter, the volume worked well in my home office set up. If you need louder, you can give it more power and audio increased about 25%.Overall, the 3 days of testing went well. Most people didn’t make a comment about a change in my audio or cam quality… and when I asked certain folks, they commented ‘sounds fine to me’.Since I use this with a big PC and monitor, I did a few calls with the tripod mount behind my monitor. It was too high, looking down on me. I lowered it to a normal height and angle, which forced a glacier like view of the device: The top 20% sticks up above the monitor frame and the speaker base area fully covered up.Not sure they intended this by design but with the mics are on top of the unit, it worked out great.5 stars.

I gotta say, the NUROUM C40 2K all in one webcam blew me away! Setting up my remote workspace just got a major upgrade. This thing’s design is on point, and it’s not your regular tiny cam – but hey, that’s what makes it stand out. The video quality? Aces. Crystal clear imagery, no fuzziness. And guess what? The sound quality matches up – no more muffled conversations.

This Webcam has very good picture quality and build quality as well. It tracks people fairly well within its range of 120 degrees. It also automatically zooms in and out with its 5x zoom. Although it is on the expensive side, it is far less expensive, as well as more capable, than its rough equivalent from a big name brand.
