Very complicated product and no catalogue or information for installation or using it.
I normally dont make time to write reviews. However in this case, since I have been facing unrelenting problems with this product, I through I should not only let others know , but also making an attempt to reach HP concerned team to know the issues customers face.This product came on 16th August. The product had no catelogue or any piece of information about installation and filling the ink. I had to spend lot of time looking at you tube to do the same. Does it mean HP has officially handed over responsibilities to youtubers to guide customers? They claim they have their website. really? go to the website and you will understand the scores of links that you need to click before you get some help. Neverthe less I did with difficulty despite being a IT guy myself.From the time installed, I downloaded HP smart on my PC and laptop and tried to print and scan. Most of the times, the printer is offline though I poweron. It prints some times, some times it does not when it is not ready . When I try to scan I get a message, scanner is not supported. Can you imagine?If you think as a customer I am doing something wrong, please trust, I have done all that is to be done to make it work, however this terrible printer design is so bad it does not respond.To add the woes, you contact HP india support and select printer support, they offer a call back and call back never happens. If you speak to somebody on WA, they say all kind of emapthy things but dont provide resolution. I am ever more shocked when I came to know that they do not have virtual support by taking remote control of my system to check the error from HP smart on my PC. Now I am endlessly waiting to for a technician to call me and so far none.

Product has a lot of cons and didn’t receive the smart watch
The HP 585 printer is average. Prints photos and documents but not as expected. You need to install hp smart and hp print service for android. Print speed is very slow and takes a lot of time to print wirelessly. Sometimes shows error and cancels. Hp customer care is not helpful.There is no option of changing waste ink pad after it gets full after sometime…..Most imp….HP is not giving the watch even after filling form and registering the printer online. They are asking for a invoice in which the serial number is written but amazon doesn’t provide such invoice. This is a scam which HP is doing. Don’t buy this printer over other printer just because its giving smart watch free.Posting review after 3 month of UsePrinter is not very good. I DO NOT recommend. Hp technicians DON’T COME to help u out if you have a problem. Sometimes the printer can create a problem or cancel the prints (happened with me) and u will have to troubleshooting yourself. Even if there is full ink both colors and black, white lines come when u print as shown in photo on all 3 colors. I make sure to print twice weekly but still its happening. Cannot print duplex. Has problem loading photo paper.There is no option of selecting alternate page while printing from ipad. One needs a pc for that.No waste inkpad , so basically might have to throw away the printer after a few years.Given 5 star else amazon not showing on top. Prospective buyer should know the cons.
