Best USB 3.0 in it’s category.
If you are someone who uses a pen drive daily or often and if you are the kind who’s a bit careless or prone to accidents or live with people who are careless, Corsair USB 3.0 is the best thing that happened to you.Guarded by premium grade light weight hight strength aluminum housing it protects your valuable pen drive from the inside. Also, it has got a rubber gasket which seals it when you fasten it’s cover making it waterproof (like a sealed container)It also has slim profile tyre like rubber or either ends of the stick which protects it from shock due to fall. It looks really cool.Mostly important feature: The transfer speed is mind blowing!

Built to Last
Having used Corsair products before I was well aware of the quality â the main reason for buying this. Been using the product for a few days and so far the speed is as described. Also, unlike some drives that come with inbuilt propriety software, this one comes with a clean slate. The aluminium casing can make the drive a little bulky but considering the paramount importance I give to the data being carried, it is well worth the effort. Also if you are in a hurry , screwing and unscrewing the cap can be a little clumsy. This is ideal for a back up drive of all important data and not as a save-as-you-go drive.Ideally, I would recommend attaching the drive to a lanyard â sadly this needs to be bought separately, though the company could provide one, considering the cost of each drive.

Corsair appear to have introduced a rather divisive issue with the latest Survivor USB Flash Drive. As mentioned in several other reviews, the new Survivor models have been redesigned with a single attachment point on the USB module itself, rather than the flash drive casing. The older Survivor design ensured the USB module was not being pulled (and consequently worn) whilst attached to a keyring and in use; I agree somewhat that this would have been a more accessible design. However, I’ve found that with the use of a separate keyring and keychain clip, the Survivor drive can be attached to a keychain or carabiner for detachment as a separate object altogether. The drive itself packs exemplary read-write performance into a durable hardened enclosure, with the aircraft-grade aluminium housing offering an waterproof seal through a widely used membrane known as “EPDM.” Thoroughly testing the Survivor flash drive has allowed me to attest for all of these claims! The drive weighs in at approximately 40 grams, which I feel is completely justified by the superb build quality offered by the entire product line.Corsair have also built a blue LED on the USB module, providing a clear (and bright!) indication of read-write activity while the drive is in use. With the Survivor flash drive and numerous products in the past, I’ve found that Corsair’s renowned reliability promise truly does stand the test of time. This particular investment in rugged data protection is definitely worth the product price!

This is a fast, robust, Zombie Apocalypse surviving USB key. It looks cool, is made from extruded and machined aluminum – with aluminum end caps (wish these were rubberized) and O-ring seals. The labeling on the outside, well, those are cheap decals that fell off in a few days of use. The name/logo should really be laser engraved. Without the decals, this could pass for a waterproof case for a couple of cigarettes or a cigar butt. One of the end caps is designed to hold a key ring, wrist strap, etc. Only the end cap with the key-ring/lanyard hole can be removed. The ring that tightens the end cap is covered in knurled rubber, as is the matching faux ring at the opposite end. This helps prevent (but not stops) the cylinder from rolling around. Because it’s rubber, it’s also easy to grip.Gotta say, this is one tough USB key case! The key itself is pretty robust as well. It is plastic, but fits snugly inside the case, so it won’t wobble around. I don’t know why you’ll we need a key this destruction and depth-proof, but I purchased it for the cool factor. If you’re working a lot outdoors, have to ship USB keys, or want to store some valuable data on a drop and waterproof key, here it is. Live on a boat? Get a few!
