Good, but the ‘BPA – Free’ rating is confusing
While the bottle is adequate for daily use, the manufacturer’s claim of ‘BPA – free’ is open to doubt. The universal triangular symbol of interlocking arrows (on the base of the bottle) classifying types of ‘safe’ plastic shows the number ‘1’ (One). Number ‘1’ represents PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate). PET is one of the most commonly used plastics for water and soft drink bottles, and is intended for single use applications. Repeated use increases the risk of leaching and bacterial growth. PET plastic is difficult to decontaminate, and proper cleaning requires harmful chemicals. So I don’t know how long these bottles are safe for use.
