Customers say
Customers like the comfort, fit, and quality of the headphone earpads. They mention they’re soft, fit most oval-shaped on-ear headphones, and seal decently. Some are also happy with the design and ear comfort. However, some customers disagree on the sound quality and value for money.

Good pads to add more comfort to over ear headphones for long hours of use
Short review:I own Sony XB900n and these fit well on them and add more cushion so the ears won’t hurt for prolonged use of headphones. As I am someone that can’t tolerate asymmetry I had to return them as the padding was not equal on the pairs I received with the order and with their replacement. FYI, I have asymmetric ears, that adds to the discomfort.Price bought at: ₹1699Value for money? I don’t think so. But as there are not many options of this sort, these can be considered a good replacement for great sounding headphones.Long review:As the stock pads on Sony xb900n are too thin and compress as much as the plastic parts of the headphones touch my ears thus causing pain if I use them over an hour.I am from coastal region and humidity there adds up to the discomfort as the sweating inside in intolerable. ANC need such enclosed space to work well and that is not the flaw with the headphones. After a lot of research I landed on Brainwavez earpads. I ordered 3 pairs from them(Individually in different months of 2021):1. Leather Angled2. Hybrid Angled3. Hybrid RegularI seem to have enjoyed leather angled as that holds most of the ANC functionality with the seal. But it is not as great as the original. They definitely sounded different from stock but as I play around with personal equalizer, I was ok with it. They eventually gave up as the faux leather started to peel off and they looked ugly to be taken to office or to places I could take them. Then comes this product, the angled hybrid. They look almost the same as the leather angled ones but except the fact that they are asymmetric. The depth of the foam is different in each pad. With asymmetric ears, that would have caused the same problem as the stock pads. I returned them and landed on the regular Hybrid ones.I am narrating all this to help the readers and fellow shoppers make a better purchase decision and so won’t waste time buying and returning the wrong product.Pros:Good depth so the ears will never touch the plastic housing of the speakers thus eliminating most pain.Hybrid is good to provide some part of ANC as the perforated leather is good to allow air circulation and the velour ring patches that comes in contact with the facial skin is gentle on skin.Cons (These are personal ones and might not be really a con for you) :The angled design requires break in time to adjust to the head shape. As the depth of the cushions is increased, the clamping force of the headphones feel increased. This will translate back to the previous point that it will require break in time. With the angled design, I felt like the headphones are easily dismounting from head with slightest shake unlike with the stock pads.Verdict: You can try them if you are bored and irritated with the regular earpads. But I would strongly recommend sticking to stock if you can. If not, get the regular hybrid. If you are OK to experiment the right fit, these can be a good alternative pads for Sony xb900n.Thank you for making it to the end. I really appreciate you patience and I hope this review helped in one way or the other in making a purchase decision. Please acknowledge if my review is helpful by clicking the helpful button.

Hybrids VS regular review
I’ve had the ATH M40X for about 6-7 years and these are my 3rd-4th pads replacement. i ordered the hybrid but they sent me the regular ones. i got a chance to try them out as well. the regular ones have sound isolation to a fault. it really makes you feel the sound but they don’t let you hear anything from the outside. your house could be on fire and you’ll not know. because of the way they seal around your ear, they also feel very hot and rings of sweat form around where they touch your skin.the hybrids, on the other hand, have a cloth on the part of the pads that touch your skin, rather ethan the Faux leather that the regular ones have. the hybrids are more comfortable but less isolating. the Bass is less but they are more practical.so, if you are into hifi audio even at the cost of practicality, vinyl records rather than streamed music, if you prefer marble stone slabs to vitrified tiles, then the regular ones are for you. if you are willing to forgo a little sound quality for comfort, then the hybrids are better. either way there is not bad decision here!

Great fit for Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC
I bought these in January 2021 for Rs.1599 for my Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC headphones and to my surprise, they turned out to be bigger in size than compared to what I already had (you can see the difference in the images). It was a plus point for me as my original earcups gave my ears very little space to breathe but these being bigger in size feels so much better for me as they cover my whole ear now with some extra space for my ears to breathe.Comfort wise they are really good and I have no problem as they do feel light despite the fact that these are bigger than original Sennheiser earcups. The cushion doesn’t feel as premium as the original Sennheiser ones but I have no complaint with these as well. They do seem like they’ll hold up for long enough and are very comfortable.Definitely, you’re gonna have to fight your way to get them on to your headphones but a small tip : try to get them in from one end and then hold the earcup along with the headphone tightly from your another hand so it doesn’t move from its place and then grab and push the rest of the earcup with your other hand. And don’t worry, these won’t tear off. They can handle pretty decent force.I do feel like these are overpriced since Sennheiser has also listed the same price on their website but they were unavailable on website when I was looking for a replacement and hence went for these and I am definitely satisfied so far.

Go for it
Amazing product. Using it with my m40x and it should work just fine with m50x too. When replacing, don’t remove the thin foam slice that comes with the stock earpads. They keep the trebles in control. Noise cancellation is slightly worse with this vs the stock ones, but it’s worth it for the added comfort and slightly improved sound signature.Update: it’ll last upto 1½ years (depending on how rough you use. Very rough in my case.) before it starts degrading which is to be expected from pleather earpads. I later upgraded to the sheepskin pads, which after a few days of natural weathering become extremely comfortable as well and they’ll last longer. The higher price is justified in my opinion. Still no true memory foam though, but the foam is still very comfortable.

I usually avoid pu leather like the plague, but I wanted fenestrated, angled pads because of the angled design of the drivers of the ATH-40x’s. I have the Dekoni pads for my model, and was looking in to the oval zmf pads but – because these Brainwavs are significantly cheaper – I gave these a shot and was very pleasantly surprised. The soundstage is greatly improved without compromising the exceptional instrument separation these cans are renowned for. The velour is soft, and doesn’t have the same “seal” like my sheepskin Dekoni’s, but it’s still plenty snug around the ears but less isolating, resulting in a wider, seemingly open-back sound that surrounds you. Overall, I don’t feel the need to purchase the more expensive pads as I’m very satisfied with these.

It’s a must have for anyone with SR850s, the donuts that they come with are serviceable but are not very good. These angled pads really make a difference in the listening experience. They weren’t easy to install but once they’re on they aren’t going anywhere.

I replaced these on the Behringer HPM1000 (i wore out the originals). I had a hard time pulling these over, at first, and thought they were too small. But with extra effort, they fit and didn’t tear and these headphone coverings are very comfortable! I have sensitive ears, they get sore and aches with headphones. So far, the Brainwaivz angled memory foam have been comfy and I haven’t had to relieve my ears and shift the fitting around, in order to give relief here and there (as I normally have to do).I bought the teal color. It’s a pretty color, bright, but not obnoxious. The material on the ear is squishy and soft, not itchy.Hopefully these will not fray and flake apart. My originals on the behringer, flaked apart and became a thin mess in 2 years, one piece literally fell off onto the floor while I was in the airport. (Keeping in mind I use them every day for 2-4 hours a day)
