Decent Sound Quality
This speaker is more like a boombox that you see folks carrying around on a sling. (It comes with a sling.)Sound quality is decent, but I won’t say ‘Excellent’ as JBL Flip 5 that I have used in the past has crisper and natural sound quality. The battery only lasts about 4 hours max and takes forever to charge back up (Definitely not a 9-hour long playback).The speaker is okay to be placed around in your home, but is definitely not something that you carry when you flying around, as it is quite heavy and bulky.Given that I bought this on a discount (2K cheaper than JBL Flip 5), I don’t have buyer’s remorse. But, definitely not worth buying at full price. JBL and Sony speakers in the same price segment offer better sound quality.Connectivity is fine – connects easily to my phone. Just wish this speaker wasn’t ‘bass heavy’ and was equally designed for both music and podcasts. Right now, this is best used for music as podcasts need a sharper voice rendition that what the speaker offers.

Trust me , Worth The Money !
I was skeptical about this purchase to be honest. I’ve never purchased anything from Boat before , I’ve used the Boat Stone 1500 and Stone 1000 from my friends but I was not impressed with the Bass.Bought this thinking I’ll return it of the bass quality was bad, but on receiving the product and listening to it for the first time , I was amazed !The Bass is BEA-Utifil ! The Highs , The Lows , very impressive for a speaker costing under 5k !I listen to a lotta mellow music when aloneBut with Friends , it’s Heavy EDM , High Tech , Techno and Hip Hop music , all of wich needs good quality bass to enjoy.I’m a college student who needs good music all the time for anything , this product fullfills my needs !This speaker is very good for a decently large room , the LED light is very well placed and works pretty good !BASS is BOMB !The speaker is a little heavy so donf thing you can hold it and walk around , the sling for the speaker is in the package so you can wear it on your shoulder and go on hikes without hurting yourself as it’s not that heavy with the slingIt’s Type C ! The best part of it , you can use your phone charger to change the speaker and not look around for another cable for charging !Battery life , I get 4 hours with the LED turned on and 5-6 hours with the LED turned offBlazing fast to connect and very neat looking ( Go for the Black one)This is the only boat speaker that has impressed me with it’s Bass ! I’d suggest you buy it if all the above are what you are looking for !Adding a small video of the bass with 50% volume to get an idea !

Just bought it a few minutes ago.I previously bought JBL Charge 5, which was a Rs. 16K trash speaker. But when I compare that JBL with this speaker, this one is well over my expectation. This speaker sounds really really good.Of course the bigger the speaker, the better it will sound. In this case, the speaker is about 12cm (height) x 29cm (wide) x 12cm(depth). And the speaker has to be bigger to give you more bass.According to Hofmann’s iron law, you can choose only two:[1] Size (compactness)[2] Bass[3] LoudnessThis is bigger, so it can give you bass and loudness compared to smaller speakers.Anyway, here’s what I think:Pros:1. Bass and Clarity: The speaker has amazing bass and extremely good clarity.2. Sound Quality: The sound quality and volume are extremely good. 14W woofer with tweeters isn’t exactly a bad thing!3. Quality Strap Provided: Good quality strap provided which will let you even wear the speaker on your shoulder!4. USB Provided: Has USB mode which will let you plug your thumb drive with songs to play (not tried).The cons:1. Sleeve not tight: The sleeve on the top is a bit loose and glides if you hold that.2. No memory: The speaker doesn’t save your settings. For example, I don’t like flashy RGB colours, and I turn them off. Every time I turn the speaker on, I need to press the “M” key for a second to turn the light off.3. Limited Light Colours: I wanted some constant colour (like purple or white for example), not flashy RGB.4. Too Flashy: RGB LED doesn’t always look good to many people.5. USB Mode doesn’t connect to the phone: USB is a female jack, so it won’t connect to your phone. It can charge your phone if the charge is on. But you can’t even play songs from your phone because it requires a thumb drive and doesn’t work as a sound card.6. Battery Life: Doesn’t look like the battery has a lot of juice in it. Doesn’t work for long if the sound is high (even if RGB is off).7. Feels cheap: The looks of the product is really nice, but looks like it’s kind of fragile and cheap. As I said the sleeve is a bit loose. A lot of people say the ribbon holder comes out, I can’t disagree – I can’t pull it off now, but it’s actually not really good quality plastic.8. Bluetooth Range: Biggest con of a bluetooth speaker if the range isn’t good. It’s okay-ish though.9. Bluetooth Connection: Random devices can connect to this speaker and the other one gets disconnected. Usually most bluetooth speakers lets you disconnect the speaker by pressing the power button for a second or so. But this doesn’t work here.Overall, it looks like the count of cons > and pros, but the cons I listed aren’t a huge deal for most people. The sound quality is awesome, the speaker looks sexy, and the connection is good. The battery life is so-so. So I think it’s a 5-star from my side.EDIT:Added cons number 6, 7 and 8.Con 7 is not a huge deal for me or most people, but 8 certainly is. I have to reduce one star for cons 8, and another one for cons 6.
