Grief hurt worse when you were alone
â:5When you lose someone really close to you, you lose a part of yourself with them too. You want to share all the trivial and beautiful moments with them. The life they left behind leaves you with scars and an empty heart that no one can fill. The book begins where “A Thousand Boy Kisses” ended. Reading the prologue, I knew this book would make me cry hard. Savannah lost her sister at an early age, which deeply affected her emotional well-being. She built an invisible wall around herself that no one could break through.Meanwhile, Cael also lost someone close to him, making him angry at everything and everyone. Once a happy child, Cael transformed into someone who doesn’t know what being happy means anymore.Cael and Savannah have one thing in common: their journey of grief. They both lost their siblings, which traumatized them. They are haunted by their pasts, and because they couldn’t move on, their parents decided to send them to therapy, where they could share their loss with peers who had gone through the same. This story felt like a personal hug. The author portrays grief, loss, and the healing journey very well. The mention of different places in the book was surreal. My favorite part is where the author beautifully writes about different countries and their beliefs regarding death, especially the description of India. From my side, this book is highly recommended. If you wanna know the pain people feel after losing their loved ones this book is it. I really felt this book. Losing loved ones and then living the life after them is really hard. It takes a lot of courage afterwards and I know the pain.

Sequel to A Thousand Boy Kisses
Tillie came thorugh with this book. She knows how to make me cry so bad I was literally bawling since the prologue. We get to see how life was for them after poppyâs death and the pov of her sister losing her. Cael and Savannah both lost a lot and them finding comfort in each other was just so amazing. I love that they have some sort of pain cuz that really gives them more character and getting to see the journey of their healing. This sequel hit just as hard as the first book and thats not somethibg I see very often.

Heartbreaking!!
ð¥¹ð¥¹ð¥¹â¬ ï¸ This is how I feel right now!!!To say I was crying throughout this book would be an understatement. The aftermath of losing our loved ones is heartbreaking to say the least. Thankfully I have never experienced this loss but my heart hurts so much for Cael, Sav and others.âI have come to understand that death, for the sick, is not so hard to endure. For us, eventually our pain ends, we go to a better place. But for those left behind, their pain only magnifies.ââPoppy, ATBK.You can imagine if the start was like this, then how would the whole book be??Well! THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR EVERYONEâ ï¸ Please read all the triggers beforehandâ¼ï¸ð¹This is not some normal romance but a book about Love, Grief and friendship. Itâs about after-effects of losing a loved one and a journey of healing. I was crying all along and I loved this book so much!!! I was able to sympathise with all the characters. Everything was written so beautifully, that I could imagine it happening in front of me. I was so happy to read about my country India in the book and loved seeing it from another personâs perspective. The descriptions of anxiety, panic attacks, and depression are so intense and detailed. I can only imagine how hard that must be to endure and I think only the person who experienced this can write in so much detail. And hats off to Tillie Cole for writing this book because I know and read in the end how difficult it was for her to write this particular book.ð¸My rec would be proceed with caution. For myself, I loved this book so much!! I’m so happy for Cael & Savannah because after going through so much they got their HEAð©·Character development of everyone was commendable and not even a single detail was left out. Now that’s what we are looking for, in any book.ð¹

Oh my heart, y’all, wow. Just wow. I knew this one would ruin and wreck me and leave me a sniffling mess, but still, I was. Not. Ready. Not by a long shot. Iâve never quoted a Dedication before, but when it starts like this, you know youâre in for it: âFor those who have lost a loved one, I walk with you. For those who have lost a piece of their heart, I hold your hand. For those who donât know how to move on, I pray this book gives you solace.âThe simple fact of life is, the longer we live, the more loved ones we lose, and Iâve lost my share. Still, I pulled up my big girl britches and dove in. I lived â unapologetically, wholeheartedly, and completely â in this story. Iâm not at all an emotional reader, but this one forced its way through all my defenses, and I held on tight attempting to withstand the poignant battering. But then I gave in. I gave up. I just was. Utterly, entirely in the story.Unsurprisingly, this masterful, gifted storyteller gives us beautiful prose brimming with tender sentiment, profound insight, and sage wisdom. And the emotional impact is as stunning as it is unforgettable. This one will rip your heart to shreds, ruthlessly stomp on the pieces, and then carefully, patiently, perfectly mend it.Let’s be real. There’s no way to protect your heart from this one, and if youâre anything like me, you’ll go heedlessly charging in. Please though, be kind to yourself. Give yourself grace. Set it aside if you need to but then let yourself wholly live in the vast constellation of emotions. If youâre blessed enough to never have lost someone vital, youâll have greater understanding of that loss after traveling this road with Savannah and Cael. And if you have known devastating loss, hopefully you’ll feel a little less alone and a little more healed after this experience. One thing’s for certain. It’s impossible to read this and come out on the other side unchanged. Maybe a little more broken yet carefully pieced back together, but all the more beautiful for it. Donât miss this story of exquisite grace, stunning beauty, and profound wisdom

It took me a long time to write this review because this book was truly something special. It’s the only book where I found myself marking and saving so many beautiful quotes. This story broke me like no other, but it also gave me so much more. It’s a poignant reminder to cherish life and all the gifts it brings. The writing was magical, effortlessly conveying the deep connection between Poppy and Rune.Poppy’s wisdom and eloquence made their story even more heart-wrenching.Summarizing this book without giving away too much is difficult. At its core, it’s about one boy, one girl, and a bond that is formed in an instant and nurtured for a decade. It’s a bond that neither time nor distance can severâa bond that they believe will last forever.

What can I say about this book, Iâm still a blubbering mess! I lost my younger sister to cancer 5 years ago, so I can relate to everything Sav is going through/feeling. I would have loved to attend a grief camp like the one she attended, and I will be taking a couple of things that was mentioned on board as part of my own healing. Tillie is an amazing writer who really tugs at the heart strings. Both books are amazing reads but a word of advice, donât read them at work or youâll end up with red rimmed eyes and a blubbering mess around your work friends and any customers. Thank you for writing such an amazing book
