Installation steps:
①Add shaft collars between the old cylinder and chair seat
②Tighten lower shaft collar,leave the upper shaft collar slightly loose
③Add screw,allow screw to press against the surface of the upper shaft collar
④Tighten screws untill chair pops off the old cylinder
⑤Now simply add the new replacement cylinder

Hola, he comprado este cilindro para una silla que compre y me llego sin cilindro, ya puse este cilindro y no se si no le quedo o lo estoy instalando mal pero no hace la elevacion. Le mando fotos para que me indique si estoy haciendo algo mal o es que no es de la medida para la silla. (Creo que debo quitarle ese como tapon verde pero no quiero hacerlo sin estar segura).

Arrived with no instructions – I googled it to find out how to remove old cylinder and installed this new one….ended up with a chair that does not adjust in height or bounces a bit for a soft landing. At least it does not shrink down when I’m working on it. I bought a more expensive version so I was hoping for better. At least it swivels and is set a height I can use – and the white trim matches the chair.Disappointed with Staples for selling me a chair that had a hydraulic that wore out within a year and not impressed with the replacement I purchased here for more money.

This cartridge was a perfect fit for my Staples brand office chair. When you are preparing to remove the old one, prepare for some muscle work! I used a vise grip, pipe wrench, and a hammer. The big pipe wrench gave me the grip and leverage I needed to twist the cartridge out of the base. The wrench was too big to grab the chrome tip near the seat, so I used a vise grip and beat it with a hammer to remove it. Very satisfying! The new cartridge just drops in place. When you place the seat on top and sit down, the installation is done! My chair is like new again.
