The Lamy violet ink is beautiful and glides on the page with a medium nib. I’m using it in the light blue Lamy Safari fountain pen. This combo has become my go-to for any note taking, or just writing in general because of its smooth glide and nice color. I do write more notes because I enjoy writing with it. I have the red ink in a red Safari and it is scratchy and the color less vibrant. This violet is my favorite ink.

a good ink cartridge, fits the pen well,writes good but ink a little shade lighter, other than that, good value for the money,

Very easy to install and make filling a fountain pen with ink much less of a hassle when compared to a bottle and refiller. It takes some effort to get it to break the seal of the cartridge when inserting into the pen. There is an audible pop which means the cartridge is secure.

This Lamy âRedâ Ink is really more a hot pink. This is in comparison to:Studio Gel âRedâ andPaper Mate Inkjoy âRedâ.I expected better pigment differentiation from a company that makes such good pens. Flows well though. Just labelled incorrectly imo, so four stars. Should be labelled âPinkâ
