Good quality Xpon router
I brought the XPON router for my Airtel Xtreme connection as the modem provided by Airtel is not so good and missing many features and the TPLINK xpon gave me the complete solution for better connectivity, speed, range of wifi and additional network features I am satisfied with the device performance which is better and also easy to setup

Unable to use with airtel extreme fibre connection due to denial by ISP
We purchased this router after seeing some reviews online that this is compatible with airtel extreme fibre connection. we wanted to use this in place of default router provided by airtel. But airtel refused to install this router and mandated using the nokia router provided, inspite of range issues faced with default router. Airtel mentioned that other router can be added to the network after their router. But this one will not work since this router requires GPON connection whereas we will need to get router with WAN port instead. When I tried to return this router, amazon did not allow since return window was 7 days and I called to return on day 8. So long story short, I have this router in unused condition with me as ISP did not allow to use it and seller did not take it back. One star review is for not router performance but for the buying experience.

BSNL fiber internet with VOIP perfectly working
Best product. For my BSNL fiber connection, I just called (Number provided in the bill) the BSNL to release MAC of my last ONT (Modem) from their Server. Before this I already configured the settings. After the MAC release, I waited for 10 minutes and restarted the modem. That’s it.No need to clone MAC or use custom MAC (I have tried this, it just connects to BSNL server. But internet will not work). Also no need to flash/upgrade the firmware as per the YouTube videos. If you configure first, then release MAC or the opposite, it doesn’t matter. Similarly if you connect the fiber before or after switching on the Modem/ONT, it doesn’t matter.

Does its job well, but depends on the connection (Read full review)
I recently bought this router for a Kerala BSNL connection. Usage-wise, it works well and has a good range and speed capability. However, the Internet connection stopped working after ten days, as the BSNL JTO said he couldn’t register it under their OLT and perform ACS configuration. The only solution from their aspect was to purchase a BSNL router (which they were forcing from the first day). I contacted TP-link support, and the technical support engineer told me that the version that works well with BSNL is v2.3, and mine was v2.8. He suggested I send the router for a replacement to the RMA team in Vasai, and they’ll send the replacement version.I have received the replacement version. However, even that’s v2.8, the only difference is that it’s made in India (the earlier one was made in China). I’ll update if it finally works with BSNL Kerala.

Was about to return but..
I was about to return this as it didn’t worked, then for the las effort I contacted my isp checks out they’ve whitelist my previous router and when i change my router i have to notify them so they can whitelist my new WiFi router, the whitelisted my mac and it works smoothly..The router provided by my isp didn’t had nat forwarding but everything works with this router. So make sure you contact your ISP if you’re not able to setup router. It is a worthit onu router. Easy to setup atleast for my case

Works on all isp, follow to setup
I bough it today and config myself within 5-10 mins easy and simple (if you know what u doing) my isp is Kerala vision and It’s work on almost all isp except JIO ( can ask your isp) follow these steps to set up-> first take a screenshot of your old router config ( internet section )-> connect your fiber cable to the new router ( blue is SC UPC ( most seen in India) tp link has green connectior SC APC ) you can buy a coupler and an SC-UPC/APC coupler cabe from Amazon ) but it doesn’t matter much if you interconnect both you will lose 1or 2db power that’s all-> Most important step – Call your isp and ask them to Release/Reset you MAC address from their side-> Power on your router – go to setup page -Advance – internet section – delete old config – add new config as per the old router-> add other configs as u wish-> easy as it is you can Njoy

Sketchy packaging, faulty device
I bought this as a replacement to my Airtel fiber router. The box of the item didn’t have any seal, but there was plastic film wrapped which didn’t look like it was done at Tp-link factory!I still went ahead and tried to connect to it using LAN cable, could not access the router setup page. Took me multiple attempts to do this. (Never has this happened with my previous Tp-link routers and repeaters!)Once I was in, I configured it keeping in mind to use the same GPON SN and MAC ID as my Airtel router. The network was established successfully with Airtel, but the router failed to deliver internet. It kept throwing ‘NCSI failure’ message, asking me to configure DNS manually. (DNS was configured manually, still the problem persisted)Folks at Airtel confirmed that the configuration was in fact done properly, and there seems to be some issue with the Tp-link router and to contact them instead. After a 8 minute conversation with Amazon and convincing them that there’s an internal issue with the item, I was able to return it.
