Westworld Season 4 Episode 3 Music: Piano Songs with Videos

Westworld had some amazing music in season 4, like the season 4 premiere ending song. There were also some great covers in season 4 episode 3, especially the piano songs while Maeve and Caleb were in the “golden age” world. Here is an overview of these songs.

This story has spoilers for Season 4 Episode 3.

The first piano song was a cover of Billie Eilish’s Bad Guy

When Maeve and Caleb first entered the 1920s bar inspired by his Westworld saloon, a vaguely familiar cover was playing. Some viewers picked it up immediately, and others weren’t quite sure why it felt so familiar.

It was a piano cover of Bad Guy by Billie Eilish.

Here is Eliish’s original version:

This new version was produced by Ramin Djawadi and is already available for listening on YouTube. The song is below or on the link here.

Many viewers got great compliments for this song online. On YouTube, Byron J wrote, “that’s all I needed to make my weekend perfect 🤗”

Kurt Oppenheim wrote, “I always like to choose the melodies when I hear them in the show!”

There was a pretty good clue in the shot itself, when Frankie says something about “bad guys” just minutes after reading this rendition.

It’s not the same version, but if you want to learn how to play Bad Guy on the piano, this video covers the details. Or you can download sheet music here.

The second piano song was a cover of Metallica’s Enter Sandman

Viewers were able to identify the second cover a little faster than the first, but it was no less impressive. This piano tune was a cover of “Enter Sandman” by Metallica, this one was by Ramin Djawadi.

Here is Metallica’s original version and their official music video for the song, filmed in 1991:

Many fans have commented on how great Metallica is having a season right now, thanks to their presence on both Stranger Things and Westworld.

On YouTube, Nerd’s Eye View wrote, “Metallica is now used by everyone. First COD MW. Then Stranger Things and now Westworld.

On Reddit, u/Classic_Wingers wrote“I’ve never heard Enter Sandman sound so jazzy before. He’s really on another level when it comes to his music.

The music is so compelling in every episode that it’s almost become its own character at this point, u/desgraciadamente underline.

Iamkats wrote“First there was the Billie Eilish interpretation and I was like, okay, that’s pretty cool. Then the Sandman interpretation and I was like let’s go.

A tutorial for a piano version of Enter Sandman (not the same as the one we heard) is here. The score is here.
