Rob Halford sings Judas Priest songs while doing the dishes

Judas Priest singer Rob Halford, the “Metal God” himself, posted a vintage clip to social media on Wednesday (July 13) of him “doing the dishes” while singing a Priest song.

Now we know we’re not the only ones listening to the legendary British metal band as we clean up the evening meal dishes.

In the video, Halford holds up a microphone that appears to be working on an off-screen PA system as he sings Priest’s “Beyond the Realms of Death” over his backing tracks.

Although Halford didn’t cite a source for the clip, the rocker only said it showed “wash the dishes” in the attached message — the same video was uploaded to YouTube in 2015 under the title “Rob Halford making teaIt’s undoubtedly from that era or before, as Halford’s goatee is still a dark brown in the video, not the distinguished gray it is today.

“Beyond the Realms of Death” is a powerful ballad from Judas Priest’s 1978 album, Tinted class. It was considered a Priest classic for Halford’s strong vocal performance on the recording. Not to mention the equally impressive instrumentals of his bandmates.

In other singer news, a new Halford Funko Pop! the figure is on its way. The singer recently opened up about how his signature motorcycle became part of Priest’s stage show. And you don’t have to twist his arm to get him to praise other Ghost rockers.

In Judas Priest news, former Priest guitarist KK Downing will join his ex-bandmates when the act accepts the Music Achievement Award at the 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in November.
