Avoid – Critical Warning – Absolutely no help from the Philips customer support
I purchased 3 of the Philips security cameras 2 x Indoor and 1 x outdoor unit.Now I received the units and started the setup, the instructions were quite simple, start and pair on the same 2.4ghz Wifi network and install the applicationI went through all of that and put the cameras in pairing mode, I tried it with 1 unit first, it failed, then tried it with all my units. All failed.Thinking how could multiple cameras fail, I went to my Wifi settings and made sure its 2.4ghz etc. All the settings they had mentioned were set as is. I tried it with my other 2 routers too. I even tried it with my hotspot. It just did not connect.Now thinking Philips being such a brand would have top tier support and would be able to tell me what is wrong with my network that the cameras cannot pair up and I’d be able to solve it within a day. This is where I eventually gave up talking to the support1. They are unaware of anything other than 2.4ghz Wifi setting2. They will only ask you to reset your router multiple times3. They ask if your internet speed is fast4. An escalated demo video call will happen with you and still they will ask to do steps 1, 2 & 3 only5. There is no technician that will visit your place as most of them are unaware that these products exist6.
