“I was thinking of women”

One of Lady Gaga’s greatest hits is actually an ode to bisexuality.

During a recent performance of his residency in Las Vegas, Jazz & Piano, Gaga has revisited one of her favorite stories from her early career.

“Poker Face”, the star has confirmed several times, talks about “poker facing your sexuality.”

Specifically, she told Jonathan Ross in 2009, she wrote the song because she “thinks about women a lot” while “having sex with her boyfriend.”

Gaga explained the song again on The Ellen Show in 2011, telling the host that she was inspired by her attraction to women and that she was “thinking of women” at the time.

Revisiting the story on her show in Vegas, Gaga revealed that her then-boyfriend called her after Ellen’s interview and said, “Did you know I had to explain this to my mother?”

Turning to her fans, Gaga joked, “What, that there are people who are gay?”

Lady Gaga is proudly bisexual. While a launch party in 2013 for his album Pop art she said, “You know what? It’s not a lie that I’m bisexual and love women, and anyone who wants to turn that into “she says she’s bisexual for marketing” is a fucking lie. This is who I am and what I have always been.

Good that she is a strong advocate for LGBT + rights, Gaga’s bisexuality is constantly erased, something she touched on previously.

Speaking outside the Stonewall Inn in 2019, she said she thought for some she “May not even be considered part of the community”.

Many Lady Gaga songs are about freedom of sexual and gender identity, including the anthem “Born This Way”, which is often played in gay clubs and pride parades, “Judas” and “GUY”.
