The worst printer I ever worked with
WORST, WORST, WORST PRINTER AND COMPANY. I am a person who has never spent so much time on writing a review. But I am forced to. The worst printer and the worst support I have ever received. Everyday I am spending so much time to resolve one or the other issue. Now I feel the only thing HP wants is all my personal details during set up, no help after that. It has given me problems only from the first day. It took so much time to install. Once installed, when I started taking print, the paper will reach halfway to the cartridge and then will show stuck. Everytime I have to turn off the printer and restart it to print the page. I need to repeat it after every sheet. It was resolved accidentally when my paper sheet was over and I purchased the best GSM paper from the market. Till that time, I did not receive any solution from Hp or from any other source. After that, when I was taking a print urgently, the margins of the printer never come properly as shown in the softcopy of the PDF. I took so many prints after changing the paper option to A4, letter and legal. Same results. Only after I changed the position of the paper and put it to one side of the tray, did the print come properly. First time I am encountering a printer, for which you can put paper in different positions in the tray for the print to come properly. Usually you put the paper in the up or down tray and the print comes properly. Now I am using another wifi, not the previous one. You can scan by connecting the USB cable, but it never prints. I checked multiple sites including HP help to change my wifi. I tried multiple suggestions given, but none works out. Also, I purchased a new black cartridge from Amazon online and connected it properly, but the cartridge status shows a red light. Dont know why. I have used printers in India and abroad, both laser and inkjet. HP printers were always notorious for installation, but never gave me this much trouble. Brother laser printers were always my best bet. But, since I needed this printer only for a short time, I purchased the less costly printer.

Pros: Easy-to-install, ePrint enabled; Cons: Ink hogger, no duplex printing; Check: warranty
I’ve been a HP (printer) loyalist for as long as I can remember and its annoying how confusing their printer line-up is these days. The main HP website, which should be a one-stop shop and dispel any doubts, is awful and I’m grateful to Amazon and fellow reviewers for showcasing these products better. On to the product: I was looking for a simple, no-frills printer which was ePrint enabled. HP’s website and speaking to their official agents made it seem ePrint was only available in high-end and ridonkulously priced printers, but thanks to Amazon’s Q&A/comments sections I was able to identify models such as this one that supported ePrint/printing by email. The 2723 is extremely easy to set up and has all standard features of an AIO—decent prints (although its an ink hog and cartridge capacity is mediocre to say the least), good and fairly quick scans and copies. Digging in to the settings, I found out there is a ‘Quiet’ mode too and its awesome! It really does make the device silent as a mouse and its a great feature to have. And for the nth time in this review, I’ll say ePrint (printing by sending an email to the printer’s unique email address) is a life-saver, and I’m glad this model has print-via-email functionality. I’m a big fan of this ability and I’ve used it countless times over the years.HP+/HP Smart are as useless as ever and HP are becoming data hogs, which I am not a fan of. Besides, the 2723 does NOT support two-sided aka duplex printing and that’s a shame. Duplex/double-sided printing ought to be a default in this day and age and so that’s a big disappointment. All said, quite the value for money, and I hope HP is able to curate information more accurately going forward such that we’re able to see for ourselves what the key features are and what’s unique about each printer when we compare them—too many with a similar model number and its next to impossible to find what features they have or do not have.Pros:- Value for money, especially if you get it in a deal- Easy to install (I used a Mac; tested further with MacOS, iPhone/iPad/iOS, Windows 10/11, Android)- HP Smart app has SOME advantages during set-up- HP ePrint/print via email- Quiet mode for super-silent printing (speed is slower, but no problem)Cons:- Poor cartridge capacity; ink hog- No duplex/two-sided printing; atrocious in today’s world- Not the biggest fan of this block-like design (HP needs to take inspiration from their other designs such as the 3545, ENVY series, 6400, etc.)- It would’ve helped to have an ePrint button on the console (like the 3545 does)- While HP said there are offers on purchases of this printer (like free Photo paper and whatnot), I have not been able to avail them—largely due to HP’s incompetence.Warning:- There is a good chance there will be a warranty mismatch. Register your product and see what it says on your HP support dashboard. Mine shows only 8 months left (barely one day after purchase) and I am now in touch with HP support; I hope to have them reset it to 12 months (EDIT: They did, finally, took them a week to do it).
